Adolescent Misbehavior

 Weak parental supervision has been associated with a wide variety of adolescent behavioral issues including delinquency; tobacco, alcohol, and substance use; and violence However, parental oversight can mitigate the effect of negative risk factors such as genetic vulnerability proactive violent attitudes and exposure to peer pressure sexual harassment neighborhood danger or group violence. It's not surprising clinical and educational interventions to reduce adolescent problems often instruct parents to better supervise their children. Such directives also concentrate on through parental attention and monitoring (i.e. by parental intervention and demanding information from the infant, peers, or their parents) or regulation (i.e., setting restrictions, curfews, and requiring permission) of their children's activities or wherever they might be.
