Modified aerosol box for dental procedures isolation during the COVID-19 Pandemic: An experimental pilot study.

Abstract

Digit sucking habit is the most common oral fixation seen in children. Prolonged sucking habit are due to emotional disturbances. 66% of thumb suckers will stop the habit before the age of 5. On occasion, the individuals may continue to exhibit a digit habit throughout childhood and may even extend this behavior in to the adult age. This presentation will report a management of a case of 10 years old, Saudi girl with thumb sucking, successfully managed by a W-arch expander with palatal crib appliance.

Biography

Alsaleem Afnan is a pediatric dentist consultant with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She is a supervisor in pediatric dentist residency program and an instructor in dental surgery assistant training program.
