Immediate Alveolar Reconstruction (IAR) in esthetic implant therapy

Manuel Feregrino Mendez

Implantoperio Clinic, Mexico

Abstract

Immediate post-extraction implants where the bucal alveolar wall is lost is a big challenge in order to get a predictable treatment. The IAR technique requires a trilaminar block graft taken from the tuberosity area in order to regenerate the bucal bone lost and increase the gingival bio type in one surgery. Prior to surgery, the correct diagnosis is indispensable which includes a good systemic general health and a cone beam study in order to review anatomical considerations.
