Author(s): Yoshin Tachira

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by inflammation of the joints in children and adolescents. This article provides an overview of JIA, including its symptoms, potential causes, diagnosis, and treatment options. Despite the lack of a known cause, early detection and intervention are essential in managing JIA and preventing long-term complications. Treatment strategies focus on reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and improving joint function through medication, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Increased awareness and research efforts are crucial in advancing the understanding and management of JIA to enhance the quality of life for affected individuals.
