Abstract
Autoimmune Arthritis: Understanding the Pathophysiology and Management
Author(s): Debjani Adhikary*Autoimmune arthritis refers to a group of inflammatory joint disorders characterized by an immune system attack on the body's own tissues. Unlike osteoarthritis, which is primarily due to wear and tear of the joints, autoimmune arthritis involves a malfunction in the immune system that leads to chronic inflammation and damage in the joints. The most common types include rheumatoid arthritis (RA), juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), and psoriatic arthritis.
