Vortex Stretching

Vortex stretching is described as the length of the vortices. The length is described in a three-dimensional fluid flow which is connected with an increase in the vorticity components. The stretching direction of the vortex is due to the angular momentum. This is described with the turbulence energy. The turbulence energy cascade is from a large scale to the small scales. The nature of the turbulence fluid can be lengthened. This lengthened of the elements results in the more stretching of the vortex than vortex squeezing. There are various factors result show that the vortex stretching plays a significant role at the time of fluctuations of the cascade.
