Today, over 80 nations produce farm-raised tilapia including the us. China is that the largest producer accounting for over 50 percent of the world’s production. There are many various species of tilapia. Aquaculture producers have developed various breeds or hybrids that grow efficiently to plug size and have desirable appearance and flavor characteristics. Journals contain articles that peer reviewed, in an effort to make sure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity. Each such journal article becomes a part of the permanent scientific record. Aquaculture -- also referred to as fish or shellfish farming -- refers to the breeding, rearing, and harvesting of plants and animals altogether sorts of water environments including ponds, rivers, lakes, and therefore the ocean. Researchers and aquaculture producers are "farming" all types of freshwater and marine species of fish, shellfish, and plants. Aquaculture produces fish , game fish , bait fish, ornamental fish, crustaceans, mollusks, algae, sea vegetables, and fish eggs. Open Access raises practical and policy questions for scholars, publishers, funders, and policymakers alike, including what the return on investment is when paying a piece of writing processing fee to publish in an Open Access articles, or whether investments into institutional repositories should be made and whether self-archiving should be made mandatory, as contemplated by some funders.
