Squamous Cell Carcinoma Journals

 There are a number of malignant neoplasms that can affect the human body with the right genetic predisposition and exposure. Nonmelanoma skin cancers are the most severe of those malignancies. There are two primary types of skin cancer that is nonmelanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. Of the two, squamous cell carcinoma is the second most prevalent form of nonmelanoma skin cancer but is potentially more devastating and life-threatening. This article explains the occurrence of squamous cell carcinoma, its origins, and etiology. This article also describes squamous cell carcinoma stages of progression from precancer to malignant, as well as the specific treatment modalities used in each developmental stage. Finally, this article addresses the different types of squamous cell carcinoma and the physiological changes induced by this malignancy that occur inside the skin.
