Sign Language Scientific Journals

A sign language (or simple signature), as opposed to acoustically transmitted acoustic sound patterns, is a language which uses manual communication and body language to transmit meaning. This could involve combining hand shapes, hands, arms or body movements and facial expressions, to convey the thoughts of a speaker fluently. Both share many similarities with languages spoken (sometimes known as 'oral languages' which rely mainly on the sound), so linguists recognize them as natural languages, but there are also major differences between the languages signed and spoken. Sign languages are developed wherever communities of survivors exist. Signing is performed even by those who can hear but are not able to talk physically. While they use space for grammar in ways that are not spoken, signs display the same linguistic characteristics and are spoken languages using the same language teaching.
