Scholarly Open Access Journals In Pulmonology

Pulmonology is referred to as a branch of internal medicine field and is associated with intensive care. Pulmonologists are specifically trained in chest diseases and conditions, particularly pneumonia, asthma, tuberculosis, emphysema and complicated infections in the chest. Preliminary research in pulmonology seeks to understand the pathogenesis of respiratory diseases better in order to improve the modalities of early diagnosis and treatment for these disorders. Medication is the most effective treatment of most pulmonologic disorders, either by inhalation or by oral form. A familiar application is the use of inhalers in treating inflammatory lung disorders such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In serious respiratory diseases oxygen therapy is often needed.
