Review Articles In Forensic Pathology
Forensic
pathology is the
pathology specialty dealing with examining deaths where, for instance, alleged murders, death in detention, and other specific medico-legal events have medical-legal consequences. Forensic Pathologists' role is to assist coroners, police, and courts in resolving critical medical issues, including causes of death, circumstances in which deaths occurred, and how injuries could have been caused. Forensic Pathologists focus on examining deceased individuals. This test includes a medical
history review, external examination and CT scans. Review
articles are summaries of the current state of understanding on a particular subject of research. Instead of reporting novel research results, they analyze or discuss research previously published by scientists and academics. Review article comes as systematic reviews and reviews of literature, and is a form of secondary literature. Systematic reviews determine an objective list of criteria and find all original research papers that meet the criteria that were previously published. They then compare the results of those papers. By comparison, literature reviews provide an overview of what the reviewers consider to be the latest and most important prior publications. Forensic
Pathology Journal is an
open access publication with influential members of the editorial board, where the author may publish his work as summary paper, research article, case study, brief correspondence or commentary.
