Patient Care Top Open

 When first asked to write down about patient care it seemed a simple enough task. As a healthcare provider I give and do patient care. However, I started thinking just what's it I mean by ‘patient care’ and what’s involved once I am doing it. Provides the subsequent definition for care: “the services rendered by members of the health professions for the advantage of a patient” then recommends we also see the definition of ‘treatment’: “care of a patient.” this is often too vague on behalf of me to urge a true picture of what patient care means. It also equates care with treatment. Next, I started conversations with health care professionals that I work with asking them what patient care means to them and what they are doing when they’re providing patient care? Their answers differed a touch but all of them gave me some insight into what patient care seems like to those that provide it. Newer health care professionals, those I arbitrarily identified as having but 3 years of practice experience, reported that patient care is usually doing what patients can’t do for themselves. during this they included providing physical care of patients’ bodies and bodily functions. within the medical care unit setting, younger professionals described monitoring and manipulating the technology and medicines that support breathing and circulation because the patient care they are doing . experienced health care professionals mentioned other aspects that in total structure their patient care: including the patient in discussions of plans and goals; providing patient education and maintaining their own professional knowledge through continuing education; addressing patients’ spiritual needs; and, being supportive to patients and their families.16.
