Hydroinformatics Review Articles

Hydroinformatics is the new discipline that is based on the advances in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to the management of the waters of the world.Hydroinformatics gathers a range of tools that, based on information technologies, may be used to explain exactly what these various groups wish and how engineers can realise these wishes and, especially, what various impacts of realisation could be. Moreover, these tools allow for participation of stakeholders in the process of execution of the projects and there are examples of such participation in recent years. Thus Hydroinformatics is also about movement, flow of information, not only about its content; it is in the heart of the process of communicating information. Review articles are the summary of current state of understanding on a particular research topic. They analyze or discuss research previously published by scientist and academicians rather than reporting novel research results. Review article comes in the form of systematic reviews and literature reviews and are a form of secondary literature. Systematic reviews determine an objective list of criteria, and find all previously published original research papers that meet the criteria. Journal of Hydroinformatics is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the application of information technology in the widest sense to problems of the aquatic environment.
