High Impact Journals In Stem Cell Transplantation
Stem cell transplant replaces a person’s
hematopoietic (blood-forming) stem cells. It is utilized when bone marrow has been damaged by
cancer or by the
radiation therapy or
chemotherapy used to treat the cancer. With the help of transplant, higher doses of
chemotherapy can be used to kill the
cancer cells. The new stem
cells will go to the bone marrow and start producing new blood cells. Scientists are studying ways to make
stem cell transplants more effective and safer.
Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation rests a dangerous procedure with various possible complications; it is kept for patients with life-threatening diseases. As existence process has increased, its utilization has prolonged beyond
cancer to hereditary skeletal dysplasias and
autoimmune diseases and remarkably mucopolysaccharidosis, malignant infantile osteopetrosis.
