Hemodialysis Treatment Impact Factor
Technological, clinical and cost factors have made possible medical procedure of
hemodialysis from 6 hour long treatment procedure to much shorter times in recent years. All medical professionals have agreed to the shortening of such important and life saving procedure as it reduces the burden on the patients. However a shorter treatment time is not a substitute and
trade off for patient mortality. There are detiled studies conducted to analyze the benefits and relationship between such factor of
dialysis and the results. These studies also give the result of treatment frequency relative to shortened treatment time. From such studies the new normal treatment time has been concluded as 4 hours for a predominant number of patients with the exception of few depending on the patients
history and condition .Other clinical factors such as Urea, Cholesterol are important after adjustment for age, week
dialysis period ,sex and Body mass. The result of such parameters along with factors of blood pressure and nutritional state must also be consider for mortality while undergoing Hemodialysis.
