Gastrectomy

 A person having stomach cancer will be subjected to the removal of the stomach partially or completely. Though it has an impact on the way of digesting in the patients he/she could still eat and drink the food for their survival. After the removal of the stomach, the esophagus will be joint with the small intestine making the food to be digested with the bowel enzymes. Not all gastrectomy was performed regarding cancer.  Sleeve Gastrectomy which is the removal of the left portion of the stomach for weight loss. This operation reduces the size of the stomach makes the person feel full though he might eat less. The goal is to work towards settling into a "new normal" after surgery, allowing the body to heal and adjust over time to the stomach loss. At the same time, it is important to try to consume as many calories as possible to minimize rapid weight loss in the first few months after surgery and to take in nutrients that the body needs to help with the healing. It can be difficult to start eating and drinking again and requires a determined effort. It's a lot of work and sometimes it feels like life is all of a sudden about eating and drinking – what, when, where, and how much.
