Dyes & Textiles

Dyeing is the implementation of dyes or pigments on textile materials such as fibres , yarns and garments with the goal of accomplishing color with the intended rapidity of colour. Dyeing is typically done in a specific solution that contains dyes and specific chemical materials. Dye molecules are configured to the fiber by being absorbed, diffused, or bonded with temperature and time as key control parameters. Depending on the dye used, the bond between the dye molecule and the fibre may be strong or weak. Dyeing and printing are distinct applications; in printing, dye is confined to a particular patterned localized field. It is implemented to all textiles in the dyeing process.
