Dementia Review Articles

"Dementia is a common term used to describe multiple cognitive weakening symptoms such as forgetfulness. It is a symptom of various underlying illnesses and brain disorders. Dementia is not in itself a particular illness but a generic term to describe symptoms of memory, speech, and thought loss. Not a single disorder, dementia is a category of disorders characterized by at least two brain functions being affected, such as memory loss and judgment.  Symptoms include forgetfulness, poor social skills and thus reduced cognitive capacity that interferes with day-to-day functioning.  Drugs and therapies can help relieve the symptoms. There are reversible triggers of others."
