Criminology – Journals

Criminology is the study of the law enforcement system and criminal law. A person seeking a career in criminal justice is likely to be successful first in a criminology degree. Although criminal justice and criminology are strictly related fields, they are not the same. "Criminology" is derived from the Latin Crisis, which means guilt, and the Greek linguistic logic, which came to symbolize the "study of". Therefore, the word literally means "crime investigation." Criminology is a branch of sociology and has been practiced in one way or another for thousands of years. Despite its long history, criminology has been recognized as a scientific field in its own right in recent years.
