Cardiology Impact Factor

Cardiology is a branch of medical science, dealing with heart disorders and their function in humans and animals. The branch of cardiology includes treatment and diagnosis of various heart disorders such as myocardial infarction, coronary disorders etc. Journal impact factor provides a quantitative evaluation tool to grade, evaluate, sort and compare similar journals. It reflects the average number of citations to recent articles published in science and social science journals in a given year or period, and is often used as a proxy for a journal's relative importance in its field. It is first conceived by the Institute for Scientific Knowledge director, Eugene Garfield. A journal's impact factor is assessed by dividing the number of current year citations into the source items that were published in that journal over the previous two years.
