Bone Marrow is a spongy and flexible tissue found inside most of the bones in a human body. It takes almost 4% of body weight in a normal human. It produces red blood
cells by a process Hematopoiesis and also produces blood platelets and lymphocytes. It contains myelopoietic stem
cells and various other kinds of cells. The stem
cells are the stem
cells found in the bone marrow, a spongy tissue in the bones is known as Bone Marrow stem cells. These stem
cells develop into white blood cells, platelets and white blood cells. Bone Marrow stem
cells are the most studied stem cells. They are used in bone marrow transplant for
hematopoietic and
leukemia diseases. These stem
cells are also used for the treatment of diabetes,
heart failure and other degenerative diseases. The top
