Blood Disorders Library
Our blood is living
tissues made up of liquid and solids. The liquid part known as plasma is made of water, salts and protein. Over half of your blood is plasma. The solid position of your blood contains red blood cells, white blood
cells and platelets. Blood disorders influence one or more parts of the blood and prevent your blood from doing its job. They can be chronic or acute. Many
blood disorders are inherited. Other causes include side effects of medicines, other diseases, and a lack of certain nutrients in your diet. Journal of
Blood Disorders is an
open access and peer-reviewed publication in the field of blood research. It focuses on all aspects of
hematology including hematologic diseases, blood cells, blood hemostatic mechanisms, hemato-oncology, immunology, and transfusion medicine. It also focuses on all aspects of the therapy of
blood disorders and preventions.
