Radiologist technologists perform
diagnostic imaging examinations and perform
radiotherapy treatments. A clinical test may be a sort of research study that tests how well new medical techniques add people. Individual research trials are designed to answer scientific questions and to seek out better ways to stop, screen for, diagnose or treat a disease. Every clinical test has an action plan, or protocol, for conducting the trial. The plan describes how the studies are going to be conducted. Each study has rules about who can and can't participate. These rules are called "eligibility" criteria and that they describe characteristics that have got to be shared by all participants.
Radiology may be a field in medicine that has expanded rapidly after 2000 thanks to advances in technology, which is closely linked to modern imaging techniques. Applying for residency positions in
radiology is comparatively competitive. Applicants are often near the highest of their school of medicine classes, with high USMLE (board) examination scores. Diagnostic radiologists must complete prerequisite undergraduate education, four years of school of medicine to earn a medical degree (D.O. or M.D.), one year of internship, and 4 years of residency training. After residency, radiologists may pursue one or two years of additional specialty fellowship training.
