Management of diabetic neuropathy involves glycemic control, pain management, and addressing underlying risk factors. Lifestyle modifications, such as regular exercise and a healthy diet, play a crucial role in preventing or slowing the progression of neuropathy. Pharmacological interventions, including medications for pain relief and the treatment of comorbid conditions, may also be utilized. Additionally, non-pharmacological approaches, such as physical therapy, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), and alternative therapies, may provide symptom relief. Early diagnosis and a multidisciplinary approach to care are essential for effectively managing diabetic neuropathy and improving the quality of life for individuals with diabetes. Further research is needed to explore novel treatment options and preventive strategies for this challenging complication.
