Growing Attraction of Nursing Education in Nepal –Issue of Quality And Quantity

History of nursing education in Nepal dated back to 1972 when the Tribhuvan University academically run the nursing program at the Institute of Medicine [1]. Attraction towards nursing education is growing ever since, and the scope of the nursing profession is still growing with each passing day [2]. However, rapidly changing health need of people and the advancement of technology have made the nursing profession more challenging and demanding [3]. The necessity of well-trained nurses is rising worldwide, making it one of the most sought-after jobs among students. Since the past few years, nursing education has been a heartthrob of most of the Nepalese female students. Selection criteria is highly competitive (100%) entrance examination [4]. Purpose of this study is to assess the quality job opportunity in both in their own country and abroad
