 Tissue or cell transplantation has been an extremely valuable technique for studying developmental potential of certain cell population, dissecting cell-environment interaction relationship, identifying stem cells, and many other applications. One key specialized prerequisite for performing transplantation examine is that the capacity of recognizing the transplanted giver cells from the endogenous host cells and following the benefactor cells after some time. Cells from three different sources lead this work: adult-derived human stem cells; human embryonic stem cells; and human-induced pluripotent stem cells.
