Temporomandibular Disorders Scholarly Journal

Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) is a very significant issue affecting up to 33% of individual people in their entire life. TMD is also defined as a repetitive motion disease with masticatory systems which has certain parallels to musculoskeletal diseases in certain areas of the body. The treatment of TMD often involves principles similar to those of other regions. Nevertheless, patients with TMD and concurrent cervical pain have a complicated symptomatic behavior that is more challenging than insular TMD symptoms. Although regularly administered by dental and medical practitioners, TMD could be more carefully treated when physical therapists are involved in the diagnostic process.
