Skin:

Skin is that the layer of typically soft, versatile outer tissue covering the body of a vertebrate animal, with 3 main functions: protection, regulation, and sensation. Human skin is that the covering, or natural covering, of the body’s surface that each provides protection and receives sensory stimuli from the external atmosphere. The skin consists of 3 layers of tissue: the cuticle, Associate in nursing outmost layer that contains the first protecting structure, the stratum. The dermis, a fibrous layer that supports and strengthens the epidermis; and therefore the subcutis, a hypodermic layer of fat at a lower place the stratum that provides nutrients to the opposite 2 layers which cushions and insulates the body.
