Skim Milk Open Access Journals
Skim
milk is a dairy product and it has an extremely low calories. Skim is
milk fortified with synthetic vitamins to substitute those lost in fat removal, and
milk solids to substitute the essential amino acids lost in the processing process. Skim
milk also possesses the benefit of being a relatively low-calorie protein source. Skim
milk is dense in nutrients, thus providing a large dose of vitamins and minerals with very few calories. Skim
milk is an excellent alternative to whole
milk for people who are concerned about the amount of fat in their diets although some people do not enjoy the flavour. Skimmed
milk contains more protein and calcium than whole milk. These are the vital nutrients for the development and protection of the function of teeth, bones and muscles, since it is more than just fat-free milk.
