Scholarly Open Access Journals In Pain Management
Pain management, pain medication, pain control or algiatri, is a branch of medicine that uses an interdisciplinary approach to alleviate suffering and improve the
quality of life for those living with chronic pain. In-depth knowledge of the
physiology of pain, the ability to evaluate patients with complex pain problems, understanding specific tests to diagnose pain conditions, prescribing appropriate medications for various pain problems, and skills to perform procedures.
Pain can be debilitating and frustrating. This can interfere with sleep, work, activities, and quality time with friends and family. Pain management provides relief so you can enjoy life. But treatment is complex and can cause harmful effects if not properly administered and monitored. Pain treatment is guided by a
history of pain, intensity, duration, conditions that worsen and alleviate, and the structure involved in causing pain. For a structure to cause pain, it must have a nerve supply, be vulnerable to injury, and structural stimulation must cause pain.
