Remote Sensing Top Journals
The field of
remote sensing evolved from the interpretation of aerial photographs to the analysis of satellite imagery, and from local area studies to global analyses, with advances in sensor system technologies and digital computing. Today remote sensor systems can provide data from energy emitted, reflected, and/or transmitted from all parts of the spectrum.
Remote-sensing apparatus are usually classified having either active or passive sensors. An active sensor provokes its own signal which is finally measured when reflected back by the Earth’s surface. A passive sensor measures solar power that's either reflected or emitted from features on the Earth’s surface. Remote sensing usually refers to the utilization of instruments for measuring electromagnetic wave reflected. Remote sensing application increases exponentially establishing the importance of leaf reflectance in energy balance due to the foundation of RS.
The instruments used for remote sensing could also be hand-held, ground-based cameras with films and filters, digital cameras, video systems, and radiometers or they'll be carried on balloons, aircraft, and satellites. The varied remote-sensing instruments store data obtained from field situations, and data are then printed out and are analyzed directly or by transferring them to a computer and creating visual images
