Pseudomonas Viridiflava

Pseudomonas viridiflava is a type of bacteria that is also known as bacterial leaf blight. It affects the soft stems of the fruits and flowers and causes soft rot in them which results in the parts to turn brown and die. The bacterial also causes spots on the leaves and flowers along with lesions. Such infections result in dying and falling off of flower buds, which can decrease the fruit production. Wet and humid climate is favourable for the growth of the bacteria whereas high temperature or dry weather is found helpful in prevention of the same.
