Over the last decades of the 20th century, biochemistry has become successful at explaining living processes through these three disciplines. Biochemistry is a very popular undergraduate degree, and one that allows the degree holder access to a variety of good jobs. ... Internships help students get a better idea of what working as a biochemist will be like and makes it easier to choose a job that is a good fit. Biochemistry graduates are also employed in industry. Typical employers include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, water and agricultural companies. Small companies employ biochemists to provide specialist services, such as toxicological studies
