Physical Chemistry Companies

Physical chemistry is the intersection of physics and chemistry. Physical chemists look for a fundamental understanding of how materials behave and how chemical reactions occur at the molecular and atomic level. Research subjects are physical chemists to make materials with new properties and develop pharmaceutical products, among other tasks. Research is the main responsibility for physical chemists in the private industry, and comes second after teaching for most academic physical chemists. The main areas of research include studying the rate of reactions - or kinetics - to enhance the process of chemical production or purification; interaction between light and matter; and reactivity of compounds and processes, or thermodynamics.
