Pathogenesis Research Articles

Pathogenesis is defined as the origin and evolution of a disease. Insights into the etiology and progression of diseases, the two main aspects of pathogenesis, are paramount in the prevention , management, and treatment of different diseases. In many cases, the tissue or cellular environment's mechanical properties contribute to the progression or onset of disease, and this is also true in diseases caused by bacterial infection. For example, a bacteria's ability to invade a cell or tissue, to establish an infection within the body, and to avoid or even exploit the immune response often depends on the ability of the bacteria to manipulate the host cytoskeleton, and exploits various biochemical pathways that respond to changes in mechanical stimuli. The innovative ideas and research on pathogenesis can be found in the journals given here.
