Mucormycosis Infection Research Articles

Mucormycosis is an infection that is caused by a typical fungus that is in the order of mucorales. The body's target organs for infecting are the sinuses, brain and lungs. This fungus mostly resides in soil through the decay of the organic matter. The fungus can readily affect humans with low immunity. And diabetes, AIDS and many other health conditions associated with mucormycosis. Therapy for these infections involves the immediate surgical removal of dead and infected tissues and cells.
