Mucocoels Journals

 Mucoceles is a mouth-like, non-cancerous cyst space which contains mucus. Lip chewing, and facial or mouth damage are common causes. Oral mucocele is most often seen in people below age 20. Mucoceles are often located within the lower lip. Usually, they are painless and transparent or bluish. Different sizes. Mucoceles often go away without treatment. This lesion has no sex predilection and is more common in children, teenagers and young adults. The lateral aspect of the lower lip is the most common site of mucoceles occurrence, but other common sites include mouth floor and tongue ventrum. The usual clinical presentation consists of a single, recurrent, fluctuating, painless, well circumcised bluish swelling that breaks.
