 Mental health is that the level of psychological well-being or an absence of mental disease . it's the state of somebody who is "functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioral adjustment". From the perspectives of positive psychology or of holism, psychological state may include a person's ability to enjoy life and to make a balance between life activities and efforts to realize psychological resilience. consistent with the planet Health Organization (WHO), psychological state includes "subjective well-being, perceived self-efficacy, autonomy, competence, inter-generational dependence, and self-actualization of one's intellectual and emotional potential, among others".The WHO further states that the well-being of a private is encompassed within the realization of their abilities, dealing with normal stresses of life, productive work, and contribution to their community. Cultural differences, subjective assessments, and competing professional theories all affect how one defines "mental health".ccording to the U.K. Surgeon Journal (1999), psychological state is that the successful performance of the mental function leading to productive activities, fulfilling relationships with people , and providing the power to adapt to vary and deal with adversity. The term mental disease refers collectively to all or any diagnosable mental disorders—health conditions characterized by alterations in thinking, mood, or behavior related to distress or impaired functioning.Mental health and mental disease are two continuous concepts. People with optimal psychological state also can have a mental disease , and other people who haven't any mental disease also can have poor psychological state .
