 Menopause occurs when a lady hasn’t menstruated in 12 consecutive months and may not become pregnant naturally. it always begins between the ages of 45 and 55, but can develop before or after this age range. Menopause can cause uncomfortable symptoms, like hot flashes and weight gain. for many women, medical treatment isn’t needed for menopause. Few girls experience menopause symptoms for up to a decade before menopause actually occurs, and 1 in 10 women experience menopausal symptoms for 12 years following their last period. The median age for menopause is 51, though it's going to occur on the average up to 2 years earlier for African-American and Latina women. More studies are needed to know the onset of menopause for non-Caucasian women. Perimenopause occurs before menopause. Perimenopause may be a time when your hormones begin to vary in preparation for menopause. Perimenopause is also called as the menopausal transition. At this stage, the main female hormones, the estrogen and progesterone may rise or fall in your body. Many changes you experience during perimenopause are a result of falling in estrogen levels.Irregular periods are a hallmark of perimenopause. Menopause is a normal phase in life.Treatments are available to help ease these symptoms.
