Common symptoms include breathlessness, chest pain, and heart palpitations. When a part of the heart does not receive enough oxygen, the chest pain become common for many types of heart disease is known as angina pectoris or angina. Some types of heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, are genetic. These congenital heart defects, can occur before a person is born.
