Molecular biology is that the branch of biology that concerns the molecular basis of biological activity in and between cells, including molecular synthesis, modification, mechanisms and interactions. The central dogma of biology describes the method during which DNA is transcribed into RNA then translated into protein. While researchers practice techniques specific to biology, it's common to mix these with methods from genetics and biochemistry. Much of biological science is quantitative, and recently a major amount of labor has been done using engineering science techniques like bioinformatics and computational biology. DNA coding for a protein of interest is now inside a cell, and also the protein can now be expressed. A spread of systems, like inducible promoters and specific cell-signaling factors, are available to assist express the protein of interest at high levels.
