Anaesthesia For the needs of those updated guidelines, obstetric anes- thesia refers to per partum anesthetic and analgesic activities performed during
labor and vaginal delivery,
caesarean delivery, removal of retained placenta, and postpartum ligation. Other subspecialty options for anesthesiology include cardiac anaesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, pain medicine, critical care, neuroanesthesia, regional anaesthesia, transplant aesthesia and
trauma anesthesia. In general population, rapid
aging is parallel increasing with volume of elderly patients requiring anesthesia and surgery. Geriatric anesthesia involves with the study of aesthesia approaches in elderly. Anesthetic agents act more sensitively towards elderly patients. so as to realize desired clinical effect less medication is typically more preferable.

Surgery to the Geriatric patients involves by checking the results and impact on common comorbidities like hypertension, diabetes, and heart condition on physiologic reserve.
