Geomorphology-Research Articles

Geomorphology is the scientific study of the origin and evolution of topographic and bathymetric characteristics created by physical , chemical or biological processes operating on or near the Earth's surface (from Ancient Greek: π, gê, "Earth"; μором, morph, "Form") Geomorphologists are interested in disciplines such as physical geography, geology, geodesy, geology of engineering, archaeology, climatology, and geotechnology. This wide base of interests applies to multiple forms and preferences in the field of science. A combination of surface processes that form ecosystems and geological processes that cause tectonic uplift and subsidence, and form the coastal geography, modifies the surface of the Earth. Surface processes include the action of water , wind , ice, fire and living things on the Earth's surface, as well as chemical reactions that form soils and alter material properties
