 Dermatoscopy refers to the study of skin cells through the use of dermatoscope. It is majorly utilised for examination of skin pigmentation through microscopy. It can also be used for early detection of melanoma. It involves modes including non-polarised light which is used for surface of the skin and polarised light which is used for deeper skin structures.
