Dementia Peer-review Journals

Dementia is a generic term used to describe different cognitive lowered symptoms like forgetfulness. It is a consequence of various underlying illnesses and brain disorders. Dementia is not a particular disorder in itself, but a generic term to describe symptoms of memory, speech, and thought impairment. While age increases the likelihood of having dementia, it is not a natural part of ageing. The Alzheimer's Association reports that more than a tenth of individuals 65 and older suffer from Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's is accounted for approximately for 60–80% of all dementia cases.
