Hearing loss is mostly prevalent in those who are aged over 65 years old and the uses of hearing
aids have increased and are becoming important. The most significant technological advancements for the treatment of
hearing loss is Cochlear implantation and is steadily being improved and gaining more approval. Latest advance in biology and medicine filed have brought new research in the use of cochlear implantation and its related studies. Many improvements in device technology, broadening of patient suitability and increase in clinical results have taken place. All these advances have made treatment of the hearing impaired possible. Cochlear implantation is a crucial tool to rehabilitate the hearing impaired. Hearing impairment treatment will become routine and the procedure can be done under local anesthesia as minimal invasive surgery. There are
