Cell Separation Research Articles

Efficient separation of cells is important to successfully isolate and purify blood cells, stem cells and specific tissue cells. Several researchers have recently reported separation of cells via membrane filtration. Leukocyte removal filters are cell separation filters which are commercially available. Removal of leukocytes from the blood using these filters successfully reduced the side effects of blood transfusions and viral infections resulting from donor blood leukocytes. Filtration of membranes is simple and inexpensive compared to other methods of cell separation, and sterility is easy to maintain during the process. The scientists have recently been able to purify hematopoietic stem cells from the blood through the filtration method through porous polyurethane foaming membranes having nanosegments. Also, we succeeded in separating various types of mesenchymal stem cells through nylon mesh filters. We have comprehensively reviewed the recent membrane technology to separate and purify stem cells and blood cells. A research article is a primary source that is, it reports the methods and results of the authors' original study, this research journal provides an insight on Cell separation.
