Adolescents Relationships With Family

 Relationships between adolescents and family research exploring relationships between parents and adolescents in normative and clinical populations suggest that family members often have different perspectives. Parents who have spent time and energy maintaining integrated family relationships are more likely to report fewer family difficulties, while adolescents aspire to freedom and better separation from parents are more apt to have unenthusiastic views of family life and relationships.
