Adenocarcinoma Impact Factor

Adenocarcinoma is a type of cancer that begins in your body's glandular cells which produce mucus. Many organs have those glands, and in any of these organs adenocarcinoma may occur. Common types include breast, colorectal, lung, pancreatic, and prostate cancer. Adenocarcinoma can be diagnosed by CT, MRI, Biopsy. Specific treatment is based on the type of tumor, its size and characteristics and whether metastasis or involvement of the lymph node occurs. Surgery and radiation are often used to treat cancer that is localized to one region of the body. Chemotherapy is more likely to be included in the treatment when cancer has metastasised.
