Actinomycosis Infection
Actinomycosis is a bacterial
infection that may causes pus to collect in the body. The type depends on where it starts: Jaw, Lungsm Abdomen, Uterus.Rarely, the
infection can spread from one place in the body to another Actinomycosis is an
infection caused by Actinomyces bacteria (especially Actinomyces israelii), which is ubiquitous in the oral cavity and it is also found in the gut or female genital tract. Actinomyces thrives in anaerobic environments, which are created while the proliferation of oxygen-consuming aerobic bacteria. The most common form of occuring hurt is cervicofacial actinomycosis, it occurs after the injury to the oral cavity, face, or neck, although Actinomyces
infection may also affect other parts of the body. Accordingly it is enables a tentative diagnosis, but definitive diagnosis is based on culture and microscopic identification of Actinomyces. Antibiotics are used to treat actinomycosis and, in many cases,
surgery is initiate to remove lesions. Actinomycosis is an infrequent invasive bacterial disease that has been recognized for over a century. Actinomyces spp. are filamentous Gram-positive bacilli, mainly belonging to the human commensal flora of the oropharynx, alimentary canal , and urogenital tract. To date, multiple different clinical features of actinomycosis are described, as various anatomical sites (such as face, bone and joint, tract , genitourinary tract, alimentary canal , central nervous system, skin, and soft tissue structures) can be affected.
